The 2025 Christian Home week (CHW) celebrations has been launched with a call to action to uphold the sanctity and purpose of marriage.
The CHW celebration, an annual event organized by the Christian Council of Ghana (CCG) appointed Mr Patrick Yaw Barimah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Okaikwei central, as the Ambassador for the 2025 CHW celebrations.
The theme of the 2025 CHW, celebrating Marriage the Right and Meaningful way served as a reminder of the importance of purpose, lasting love and nurturing homes that inspired future generations.
The CCG organised the launch, which brought together distinguished quests, church leaders, Registrar General’s Department, representatives from the Ministry of Local government, chieftaincy and Religious Affairs and community members to reflect on the beauty and significance of marriage.
At the launch in Accra, Mr Boamah, the Ambassador, emphasized the importance of honoring marriage as ordained by God, saying Marriage is not just about two individuals it unites families and strengthens communities.
The Ambassador recognizes his dedication to promoting the welfare of humanity, families and communities through his philanthropic initiatives highlighted the significance of building strong family institutions.
The MP who was emphasised the role of parenting in a shaping the future, citing proverbs 22:6, Train a child in the way he shouldn’t go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
He expressed his vision for Ghana where love peace and purpose flourished, saying, a thriving homes.
The Chairperson, Mr Koku Anyidoho, cited Genesis 1:26-27 to emphasize the devine origin of marriage between a man and a woman referencing the united states’ of America’s President Mr Donald Trump’s stance on gender.
