Galaxy international School hard work and creativity projects

Students of the Galaxy international school through hard work and creativity have exhibited remarkable projects in the schools 20th edition of it’s annual science and technology and Makers Fair to promote a digitised and problem solving solutions.

The year theme, Empowering STEAM Science, Technology, Engineering Arts and Mathematics saw the students showcase over 30 innovative STEAM projects as they compete with students from other schools.

The exhibition saw a display of interactive science projects, cutting-edge robotics, eco friendly innovations and hands on engineering, marvels, proving that the future was in capable hands.

They included beaded ornaments, green technology buildings, movable aircrafts, electronic fountains, play stations, well designed estates, musical instruments and robots.

After review of their projects, the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School emerged the winner, and Galaxy International school placed second with it’s student Razan Mamddouh Hamonui, and third respectively with Mohammed Abdus-Samad Abdulbaqi.

The Minister of Environment Science and Technology, Dr lbrahim Mutala Muhammed, in a speech read on his behalf called on individuals to reaffirm their commitment to empower the youth by investing in STEAM education, to nurture innovation.

Dr Muhammed commended the Galaxy lnternational School for it’s commitment to excellence in STEAM education, added that, You are helping to build Ghana.

Mr lssifu Seidu, the Minister of State in charge of Climate Change and Sustainability in a speech read on his behalf, said plans where in place for the establishment of a climate and sustainability Hub.

Mr Seidu, said, the hub would be a one-stop centre dedicated to accelerating climate action in Ghana and the West African sub region.

According to him, it will serve as an incubator for groundbreaking ideas, facilitate knowledge sharing, and create pathways to attract substantial climate finance into our country.

Dr Muhammed said nations that invested in STEAM where leading in economic growth, job creation, and technological advancement.

According to the Minister said, it meant reducing dependence on imports by nurturing local innovators and entrepreneurs who could design for Ghana’s own context, solutions by Ghanaians, for Ghanaians.

The Principal of the Galaxy lnternational School, Mr Jasur Domullojonor in his address said, the school for 20 years had seen generations of thinkers, creators and problem solvers emerge.

He also expressed gratitude to the teachers and parents who guided and supported the students through their journey of studies.
