Private universities in Ghana, particularly in enhancing their public image and advocacy efforts.

The AGM served as a platform to review PUFA’s achievements over the past two years, including engagements with government stakeholders to promote the recognition of private universities.

The President of PUFA, announced the decision during the Association’s biennial General Meeting (AGM) held in Wisconsin University premises.

He stated that the members expressed confidence in the leadership by endorsing their continuation in office.

The Private university Founders Association (PUFA) Ghana has revealed it’s current executive body to serve another two-year term while expanding it’s membership with four new additions.

Dr urged institutions to unite under the association to pursue common goals in Ghana’s higher education section.

He noted that the association had been working closely with the Ministry of education and Parliament to ensure private universities were well represented in national education policies.

According to him, he said they want to make sure that private universities stay well known in society so that people will recognize them as among the best options for higher education.

While PUFA has submitted several policy propolis to the government, he indicated that discussions were still ongoing and declined to disclose specifics.

Members asked the executive to remain for two more years, however, added four new members to the association.

He said that the new new members would play a crucial role in advancing the interests of private universities in Ghana, particularly in enhancing their public image and advocacy efforts.
