The alumnil groups of the Old Achimontan Association (OAA) have launched several projects to improve the schools facilities and enhance teaching and learning.
The alumni groups celebrating their 50th, 40th and 25th anniversaries, include the 1975, 1985. and 2000 graduating classes.
The OAA is calling on all Akoras, education stakeholders, well wishers, heritage and rich culture, bringing together students to participate in the celebrations, particularly the Founders Day Durbar on March 8.
The statement urged all past students of Achimonta SHS and education enthusiastic to join in celebrating the 98th Founders Day durbar.
The event will highlight the legacy of Achimonta school and the unwavering commitment of it’s alumni.
The statement also explained that the event aimed to bring together members of the OAA 75,85, and 2000-year groups to celebrate their rich history, honour their founders, highlight their achievements to fellow alumni, and document exceptional heritage of Achimonta school.

The school has scheduled it’s 98th Founders Day celebration for March 9 this year.
The statement said, all the year Groups celebrating their anniversaries this year believe in impacting the lives of students who pass through the walls of Achimonta.
The OAA and 75 and 85 groups will be presenting a legacy project worth 1.5 million in equipment to the science Laboratories on March 5, according to the statement issued to the press.
The alumni groups are confident that these resources would provide students with valuable experiences and better equip science students,in particular for the next stage of their education.
According to the statement, it mentioned that the OAA 2000(2G) group had started building an 18 unit classroom Block as part of it’s Legacy Project, with completion and handover scheduled for November 2025.
The celebration will culminate with Thanksgiving Service at Aggrey Chapel on March 9.
