Alabi urges Ghanaian business owners to learn Chinese language
The President of Laweh University, Professor Goski Alabi has urged Ghanaian Business owners to learn Chinese language to enhance bilateral trade between the two countries. Madam Alabi said, it would enable Ghanaian business owners to foster a lasting business relationship with their counterparts.
The Professor said the emerging business interests of Chinese citizens in Ghana highlighted the relevance of learning the language by Ghanaian business community.
She was speaking at the launch of the Laweh University college and Shanghai Open university Chinese language center at the school premises.
The launch also marked a significant milestone in promoting the study of the Chinese and culture in Ghana.

Present at the launch were key personalities from Laweh university, the consulate of China and representative from Shanghai Open university.
Some of the representatives of the Shanghai Open university, Vice president, Shanghai Open university; WENG Zhuhua, Department of Foreign Languages Dean of the institute of International Exchange of Shanghai university, CHEN Henan and ZHANG Jin
Some of the personalities were consulate of China, key personalities from Laweh university.
The Professor Alabi informed that the Chinese centre will be beneficial to students, business owners and employees of companies owned by Chinese citizens.
She said the establishment of the language centre will be a door opening opportunity for Ghanaian students, and stressed that it would enhance their chances of furthering their studies in China Ghana and Chinese trade relationship have seen significant growth over the years. Ghana Exported $2.01 billion to China, mainly crude petroleum, manages ore and aluminum ore.
The Vice President, Shanghai Open University, Zhang Jim, for his part said the establishment of overseas language centres was key in promoting Chinese and African culture exchange.
