The Child Health Promotion Week celebration for 2025 by Tema West Municipal health Directorate was launched at 3 Angels Hospital at Adjei Kojo Sub municipal, with a focus on improving child health and increasing access to essential immunization services.
The theme for the celebration was every child deserves a healthy future lnvest in Your child, Attend “Weighing” Regularly.
Government has made significant progress immunization, providing protection against diseases such as Tuberculosis, Diphtheria, Pertussis, Measles, polio, Meningitis, yellow fever and tetanus.
The District Nutrition Officer for Tema West, Ms Linda Efua Paintsil, mentioned that it was world hypertension month and mothers needed to monitor their (BP) for early detection and treatment.
The (DDNS), Ms lvy Asoka, the Deputy Director of Nursing Service for Tema West, also highlighted on the need to promote the children,protect and reduce infant mortality.

growth monitoring
nutrition assessment
Birth registration
Provision and promotion of long-lasting insecticided treated nets (LLINs)
Nutrition counseling
