The Auditor-General has published an interim list of claims that have been rejected and those still pending review, as part of efforts to enforce financial accountability in the public sector.

According to Ghanaian Announcer, the release forms part of ongoing audits aimed at identifying irregular payments and ensuring value for money in government transactions.

The list details claims that failed to meet audit standards, as well as others awaiting further verification.
The Auditor-General’s office said the publication is to promote transparency and give affected institutions and individuals an opportunity to address discrepancies before final decisions are made.
Financial experts note that regular publication of such lists helps to deter misapplication of public funds and strengthens confidence in the country’s audit process.
The interim report is expected to be followed by a comprehensive final list after all pending claims have been reviewed and validated.
