Ghana and Japan have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen bilateral cooperation in education, focusing on digital skills and sustainability.
The session, organised ahead of TICAD9, aimed to highlight JICA’s contributions to Africa’s growth and its ongoing partnerships across the continent.
These efforts, the statement said, reflect Japans commitment to fostering knowledge, values, and behaviours essential for a just and sustainable society.
These range from infrastructure development challenges in Africa and and identifying solutions.
The (JICA) has held a media briefing to provide an in-depth overview of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) and its role in promoting African development.
The JICA’s commitment to Africa also rooted in a deep understanding of the continent’s challenges and a shared vision for prosperity. Its approach is centred on human development and long-term sustainability, working hand-in-hand with African countries to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
The briefing offered key insights into JICA’s ongoing role on the continent and reinforced its status as a committed development partner. With TICAD9 on the horizon, JICA’s efforts are expected to leave a lasting impact on Africa’s development trajectory.
