Ghana Police launch manhunt following attach on NPP collation centre

Ghana Police service has initiated a manhunt for group of individuals who attack a private collation centre belonging to New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Okaikwei North constituency in Accra.

According to the police, a statement,the police revealed that their investigations aided by a victim, have led to the identification of two suspects; Ryan Gbagbathi and Huzaif, who are believed to be part of the group involved in the accident.

They said, as the investigations continue, the police appealed for any information that could lead to the swift arrest of suspects.

The police said,the attackers caused extensive to collation materials and injured one person during assault, prompting swift action from law enforcement.

The incident underscores the heightened tensions surrounding the ongoing electoral process.

l rigours of the law, the statement noted, assuring public of their determination to bring the preparation to justice. The police further reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace and security during and after the elections. Stressing their readiness to tackle any threats to public safety.
