A recent lecture at the University of Ghana highlighted the need for Ghanaians to take responsibility for their country’s development. Mrs Winnie Oppong Sapong, wife of the Executive Director, emphasized that change must start with individuals, while students offered insightful perspectives on nationhood, grassroots empowerment, and leadership.
Meanwhile, the Founder of an initiative has unveiled plans to host an annual independence lecture aimed at diagnosing Ghana’s developmental challenges, fostering constructive discussions, and sparking a national transformation movement.
The lecture series, to be held at the University of Ghana, is expected to bring together stakeholders to critically examine the country’s progress and chart a way forward.
Euginia Nsiah Edufuwah who is at the Pentecost University argued that Ghana is a state rather than a nation, sparking debate.
Guy-Marie who is at the University of Ghana stressed the importance of empowering local communities to drive change.
The discussion was part of a larger initiative, with the Founder announcing plans to host an annual independence lecture to diagnose Ghana’s challenges and spark national transformation.
The event underscored the need for collective action and self-reflection to drive progress in Ghana.
