Accra, Ghana — [Date] – Accra Metropolitan University (Accra Met) has awarded 50 fully funded scholarships to personnel of the Ghana Police Service as part of its commitment to national development through strategic partnerships. The initiative is aimed at enhancing professional development and capacity building within the Service through access to quality higher education.

The scholarships cover both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, with academic disciplines carefully selected to meet the evolving professional needs of Ghana Police service.

A delegation from Accra Met, led by the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mrs. Goski Alabi, formally presented the scholarship package to the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, at a brief ceremony held at the Police Headquarters in Accra.

The IGP was joined by senior members of the Police Management Board, including COP Dr. Ernest Kwabena Owusu, Director-General of Services, and COP Mr. Michael Nketia Frimpong, Director-General of Finance. The occasion marked a significant step in strengthening collaboration between academia and national security institutions.
