Technical And Sustainability Experts Showcase Knowledge In AI Adoption
A youth entrepreneurship forum brought together technical experts and sustainability specialists to demonstrate how Ghanaian youth can leverage Artificial Intelligence to solve local problems and build innovative businesses without travelling abroad.
Speaking at the event, participants highlighted the depth of knowledge among young Ghanaians in AI adoption and product development.
“We Don’t Have To Go Anywhere Else”
One speaker said the country has enough talent to innovate locally.
“We brought in technical people, your sustainability experts, Angela. You saw the kind of knowledge she has in AI adoption. The youth of this country, we don’t have to go anywhere else. We can also be innovative here in this country,” the speaker said.
From Ideas To Investment
The speaker said he was intrigued by how young people are intelligently building products despite funding challenges.
“Problems – to me I was very intrigued about how people are intelligently doing products but they lack the funding. And now we have somebody with the funding who is now also looking for ideas to invest in,” he added.
The engagement is part of broader efforts to position Ghanaian students and young entrepreneurs to develop AI-powered solutions for agriculture, climate, health and business, while connecting them to investors ready to support viable ideas.
Stakeholders say the next step is to scale such platforms to ensure innovations from campuses and communities get the funding and mentorship needed to grow into sustainable businesses.
