The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hosted its annual “Light the World” event, bringing together members of Parliament, opinion leaders, and hundreds of guests for an interfaith musical concert and lighting ceremony.

The event, themed “Experience His Light,” aimed to reaffirm Ghana’s reputation as a beacon of peace, tolerance, and shared spiritual heritage.

The evening featured performances by leading choirs and soloists, including the Harmonious Chorale and the Abura Ghana State Choir, among others. Messages from leaders, including Elder Adeyinka A. Ojediran, emphasized the importance of unity, compassion, and moral leadership rooted in faith.

Ghana’s Minister of Tourism, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, praised the event’s interfaith nature, highlighting Ghana’s unique ability to bring people of different traditions together.

Elder Ojediran reminded attendees that Christ’s life and mission represent hope, redemption, and love, encouraging attendees to embrace forgiveness, kindness, and compassion.

The event showcased Ghana’s diverse cultural and spiritual landscape, demonstrating the power of faith and unity in promoting peace and understanding.
